The First Principles Series

Jesus commanded his disciples to make disciples. We believe that this command is still in force today. "The First Principles” is a collection of 13 booklets that we use to disciple our members in the "First Principles” of the Christian life. The courses are taught by certified leaders in a variety of times and places throughout the life of our church. Each book takes about six weeks to complete. Rather than the typical fill-in-the-blank approach, the series employs a highly effective study method using readings, personal reflection, group interaction and projects. Teaching the core principles of Christ and His Apostles, the series systematically leads participants in firmly establishing their faith and on to deeper commitment.

As Christians, we are given the ultimate purpose, the ultimate mission - fulfilling the mission of Jesus Christ.

CULTIVATING HABITS OF THE HEART
First Principles of A Heart Near to God - Book Four

In this booklet, we will take a radically different approach to the habits of the heart. God never intended our lives to be based on a set of individual daily habits, but rather on a whole life orientation that grows out of family and community life. We are not to gain insight from the Word fundamentally in isolation but from disciplines in all spheres of our lives. God carefully designed these habits to guide each believer into a life in which Christ can richly dwell in our hearts, resulting in our entire lives being transformed by calling.
