Administrative Assistant

Morningstar Christian Fellowship is looking for an Administrative Assistant to work in its main office. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a dedicated team, with the added satisfaction of working for an organization committed to reaching the diverse community of East Toronto for Jesus Christ through a church that displays the unity of God’s kingdom.

The job involves a variety of administrative tasks and secretarial duties working closely (but not exclusively) with the Pastor of Discipleship, Children and Student Ministries Directors. These tasks will include, but are not limited to, answering the phone, filing, letter writing, sorting mail, inputting and obtaining information from a computer, typing lessons material, photocopying and maintaining records. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a necessity, along with a proficient working knowledge of Power Church Plus Church Administration software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher). Some training will be provided. Social Media knowledge and experience will be an asset.

Applicants are required to have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience in office administration preferably in a Church or Para-Church organization. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

This is a part-time position at 20 hours (3 days) per week.
