Administrative Assistant Position

Morningstar Christian Fellowship is looking for an Administrative Assistant to work in its main office. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, with the added satisfaction of working for an organization committed to reaching the diverse communities of East Toronto for Jesus Christ.


The job involves a variety of administrative tasks and secretarial duties working closely with the Sr. Pastor, Worship Pastor and Executive Pastor to perform a wide variety of responsible, and confidential administrative duties. These tasks will include, but are not limited to, attending meeting to compile minutes, maintain a calendar of activities, letter writing, inputting and obtaining information from a computer, overseeing facility bookings for outside groups, answering the phone when needed and maintaining records. 


Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a necessity, along with a proficient working knowledge of Power Church Plus Church Administration software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher). Some training will be provided.  Social Media knowledge and experience will be an asset. 


Applicants are required to have a high school diploma and at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in office administration preferably in a Church or Para-Church organization. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.


This is a full-time position at 35 hours (5 days) per week.
